Set in the small town of Salem, Virginia, Jill's Buddy camp is a 1-week summer program matching preschoolers with special needs and volunteer teenagers, aka 'Big Buddies'. Over the past 30 years, this innovative yet simple little camp has impacted over 500 young campers and an equal number of big buddies, with many of the buddies going on to enjoy careers in education and special education.

We are extremely proud to announce the public launch of Jill's Buddy Camp film. We invite you to explore Jill's Buddy Camp from an insider's perspective. We know that you will experience the love and inspiration that this magical camp offers us all. We are eternally grateful for Matt Chenet of Toot Toot Pictures for the love, sweat and tears he put into making this film. Matt, this film is not only a testament to your incredible talent, but it is a living reminder of the love that you saw in Jill which she carried with her daily.

The film above tells the story of Buddy Camp, and the very special big buddy, Jill Bailey Chenet, whose life and loving spirit inspired the camp to start again, amidst school-wide budget cuts and program closures. We encourage you to take 30 minutes to watch our film to understand the camp that is our passion.
